BANDARLAMPUNG - The Student Arts and Sports Student Activity Unit of Mitra Indonesia University (UKM Senior Umitra) held a grand event "Gebyar New Face 2025" which was held at the Open Stage of Mitra Indonesia University, Jln. Z. A. Pagar Alam No. 7 GD. Meneng, Rajabasa, Bandarlampung, Saturday, (10/5).
Performing Arts and Performance of Creations from New Members of Senior Umitra UKM is an event of introduction and performance for new members of senior Umitra SMEs and the appearance of arts and sports SMEs from various campuses in Lampung Province.
Umitra senior UKM coach, Astrid Aprica Isabella, SE., MM accompanied by Umitra senior UKM Chairperson, Haris Raizarie, said that the new face activities in 2025 this time carried the spirit of togetherness and creativity of Umitra students in the arts and sports.
"Gebyar New Face 2025 features a variety of interesting performances which include traditional and modern dance, music performances from various genres that amaze the creations of senior Umitra UKM members. This event is a forum for students to express their talents and interests in the arts, culture, and sports, as well as strengthen the relationship between members from various universities," he said.
Furthermore, Astrid, who daily as a lecturer in the Entrepreneurship S1 study program, expressed his enthusiasm to welcome this event.
"The new face of 2025 is an important moment of senior Umitra SMEs to welcome new members and introduce the wealth of art, culture, and the spirit of sports that are the spirit of senior Umitra UKM. We are very proud to see the enthusiasm of students from various campuses in Lampung to join and contribute to advancing this positive activity," he continued.
Rector of Umitra, Dr. Hj. Armalia Reny Madrie As, S.P., MM who in this activity was represented by Deputy Rector III, Dr. Arie Setya Putra, S.Kom., M.T.I said that the new face of 2025 was not just a welcoming event, but was also a gate to open student insights on various self -development opportunities outside of academic activities, one of which was through the Student Activity Unit.
"In Umitra, we believe that holistic education not only focuses on the mastery of science in the lecture hall, but also on the development of interests, talents, and potential of self through extracurricular activities. Arts, music, and sports are present as a forum for students to explore passion, hone skills, creative, and establish friendship with other students who have similar interests," he said.
Arie further said that SMEs are a place where students can develop hidden talents, learn to work together in teams, increase self-confidence, and balance academic and non-academic activities.
"Don't hesitate to join, actively participate in every activity, and make SMEs as your second home on campus.
This event is also expected to be an inspiration for other students to develop themselves through positive extracurricular activities and build extensive friendship networks.
