In 1995 the Lampung Mitra Foundation was established in accordance with the notary deed Zainal Arifin, SH., No.1 of 1995 with the initial educational institutions established are:

1. Diploma Education Program 3 Academy of Information and Computer Management (AMIK) Mitra Lampung, in which there are 2 study programs, namely Informatics Management Study Program and Informatics Engineering Study Program as well as Diploma Education Program 1 Computer Education Institution (LPK) Mitra Lampung based on the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic Indonesia No. 27/D/O/1996, August 8, 1996 with the Signing Officer of the Director General of Higher Education Bambang Suhendro,

2. In 1999 the Lampung Mitra Foundation added another Diploma Education Program in the Economy Field, namely the Accounting and Management Academy (A2M) of Lampung Mitra, which in which there are 3 study programs namely Accounting Study Program, Company Management and Banking Finance, based on the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture Republic of Indonesia No. 168/D/O/1999, November 25, 1999 with Signing Officials Director General of Higher Education Satryo Soemantri Brojonegoro.

 

In 2001 the Lampung Mitra Foundation, it was necessary to develop an educational institution, especially in higher education so that the foundation considers it necessary to add 3 educational programs of Strata 1 type, namely:

1. Economic Field, Mitra Lampung College of Economics (STIE) with the Accounting and Management Study Program based on the Decree of the Minister of National Education of the Republic of Indonesia No. 26/D/O/2001, March 20, 2001 with the Signing Officer of the Director General of Higher Education Satryo Soemantri Brojonegoro.

2. Computer Technology, College of Information and Computer Management (STMIK) Mitra Lampung, which has Informatics Engineering Study Program and Information Systems based on the Decree of the Minister of National Education of the Republic of Indonesia No. 32/D/O/2001, April 10, 2001 with Signing Officials Director General of Higher Education Satryo Soemantri Brojonegoro.

3. The health sector is the College of Health Sciences (STIKES) Mitra Lampung which has a Nursing and Public Health Study Program, based on the Decree of the Minister of National Education of the Republic of Indonesia No. 41/D/O/2001, June 5, 2001 with the Signing Officer of the Director General of Higher Education Satryo Soemantri Brojonegoro. In 2008 a permit for the implementation of the Nursing Professional Education Program was issued number: 267/D/O/2008 as of December 31, 20018 with the Signing Officer of the Director General of Higher Education Fasli Jalal and the Permit for the Implementation of S2 Public Health Sciences Study Program in 2009 with: 156/ D/O/2009, February 9, 2009 Official Signing Director General of Higher Education Fasli Jalal.

 

Along with the development and dynamics at that time, it was deemed necessary to change the Foundation's Articles of Association in accordance with Deed Number 12 dated September 25, 2006 made by Notary Zainal, SH., Which has been recorded in the Foundation List based on the Director General of General Law Administration of the Department of Law and Human Rights Number C-HT.01.09-455 dated November 8, 2006 as a change in the Foundation's Articles of Association based on Deed Number 1 dated January 9, 2014 made by Notary Erista Setyasari, SH., And has been recorded in the Foundation List based on the Director General of Administration General Law of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights Number AHU-AH.01.06-489 dated 3 June 2014.

 

In order to support government policies on the dynamics of the development of universities in Indonesia, in early 2016 the Lampung Mitra Foundation submitted a process of combining the five institutions (2 academies and 3 high schools) to become the Lampung Mitra Institute and have received approval from the Kopertis Region II Palembang region With the issuance of a letter of recommendation for the approval of change on November 25, 2016, a field feasibility assessment activity was carried out by the team from Kemenristekdikti on February 6, 2017. The results of the feasibility assessment were the Ministry of Research and Technology, it suggested that Added several study programs in accordance with the requirements of the University of Science in the University.

 

To fulfill the advice and input of the first period of the Assessment Assessment Team of the Ministry of Research and Technology, the Foundation submitted a change in the form of the incorporation of 2 academies and 3 high schools included 4 new study programs that were considered to meet the aspects of the needs of the world of education into the form of universities, which were then re -published a recommendation letter From Kopertis Region II Palembang on August 30, 2017 and a Field Study Feasibility Letter from the Ministry of Research and Technology on January 4, 2018, which was then issued by Kemenristekdikti Decree No. 518/KPT/I/2018 concerning the Merging Permit for 2 Academies and 3 High Schools and the addition of 4 new study programs to become Mitra Indonesia University, on June 21, 2018 with officials signing the Secretary General of Higher Education Ainun Na`im.
