Study Program (Study Program) of Information Technology S1, Faculty of Computer, Mitra Indonesia University (Umitra) successfully won the title as a 'superior campus' contained in Decree 078/SK/LAM-Infokom/AK/S/IV/2025 which fell on Wednesday (9/4). This strengthened the reputation of the Umitra campus as a national reputation tertiary institution.

Rector of Umitra, Dr. Hj. Armalia Reny Madrie As., S.P., MM emphasized that the results of this accreditation were a form of the seriousness of the Umitra in managing tertiary institutions. According to him, success is not enough to be revealed through words, but proven through recognition, both accreditation and certification.

"Accreditation of S1 Information Technology Study Programs now achieves a very good title, describing the credibility of higher education as an agency that organizes Tridarma. I am grateful that Umitra is always trusted to carry out the title of the accreditation campus, this is not separated from the collaboration of all elements and parties in the Umitra Mauoun Mitra External," he said.

Even so, Mother Reny, her familiar greeting considers that this accreditation is not enough. There must be an effort to carry out responsibility, one of which is convincing the public that the S1 Information Technology Study Program, the Umitra Computer Faculty is indeed worthy of an excellent accreditation. Not only through verbal and audiovisual channels, but also must ensure the output and alumni of the S1 Information Technology Study Program are able to become independent individuals and occupy strategic positions and policy makers both in government agencies, the private sector and some are even believed to hold the sticks of agencies abroad.

"So, the Center of Excellence (COE) program in the Umitra environment has an important role to realize that goal. How students are able to have skills that are in accordance with the industry so that they can become independent individuals. Not only become workers, but also able to open jobs for the wider community," he said.

Umitra also always seeks to give birth to alumni who are independent and calculated in the community. Information Technology S1 Study Program does not want to be recognized formally, but also recognized superior to the wider community thanks to its contribution. So, the S1 Information Technology Study Program, the Faculty of Computer, Umitra must have a contribution in this goal by ensuring students graduated on time, must be independent and certainly working. That way, Umitra can contribute greatly in realizing the 2045 Indonesia Gold.

The same thing was said by the Chairperson of the Umitra Foundation. Dr. H. Andi Surya. According to him, Umitra is an Excellent campus. Then there is a need for efforts to appreciate, care for and maintain the aim of gaining government and community recognition. One of the hopes is that there is an increase in community interest in the implementation of education in the 'Umitra Campus'. Likewise with the increase in the amount of cooperation that is cultivated.

"The form of other efforts that can be seen is a variety of national and even international certification and coe based on study programs. The presence of COE in collaboration with the business world and the industrial world (DUDI) provides opportunities, certainty and experience for students. CoE is also considered to be able to further strengthen the achievements of Umitra to obtain superior accreditation, both based on study programs and institutions," he concluded.
