BANDARLAMPUNG -S1 Nursing Study Program, Mitra Indonesia University (Study Program of S1 Umitra) held a series of activities to increase public awareness, especially the community, the importance of anticipating disaster emergencies.
This activity includes campaigns, checking safety facilities and infrastructure, to training as a rescue and evacuation team.

Dean of the Faculty of Health, DR (Cand) Armen Patria, S.KP., MM., M. Kes, who in this activity was represented by the Deputy Dean, Ns. Tubagus Erwin, S.Kep., M.Kep, said that this series of activities was a form of implementation of Law Number 24 of 2027 concerning Disaster Management, centered in the parking lot of Mitra Indonesia University, Thursday (24/7).
"In this case, the campus is tasked with carrying out disaster mitigation and creating a healthy and prepared environmental environment. The series of education around the disaster began with a Workshop on Early Warning Disaster Preparedness Hidometeorology," he said.
Rector of Umitra, Dr. Hj. Armalia Reny Madrie As., S.P., M.M who was represented by Deputy Rector III, Dr. Arie Setya Putra, S.Kom., M.T.I, welcomed the simulation activities held by the S1 Umitra S1 Study Program. This activity is very important for awareness of disasters, especially those relating to Lampung Province is one of the provinces that is prone to natural disasters.
"The disaster that occurred in recent years has caused casualties, house damage, and large economic losses. In fact, if early warnings are carried out more massive and comprehensive, victims and losses can be reduced," he said.
Mini-drill Emergency Earthquake begins with evacuation to the gathering point. All participants followed personal protection instructions with the method of drop, cover, and hold on when the earthquake was simulated. The method directs participants to take shelter under a table or chair, protect the head, and hold on to the foot or chair.
Then proceed with triage (determination of priority medical treatment based on the severity) in disaster victims and its management.
The disaster response simulation carried out cooperates with the Bandarlampung City Fire and Rescue Service and alumni F. Kes Umitra (RLS/*).
