Chairperson of the Mitra Indonesia University Foundation (Umitra) and Global Surya Islamic School (GSIS), Dr. Andi Surya and his family routinely distribute zakat malls and zakat fitrah.

For the Bandarlampung City area, as many as 700 more envelopes containing cash and rice boxes, the surrender was centered at the Umitra Campus, Jl. Z.A. Pagar Alam No. 7, Gd. Meneng, Rajabasa, Bandarlampung City, Tuesday (3/25).

In his remarks, Andi Surya hoped that the channeled zakat could provide great benefits for people in need, especially in Lampung Province.

"Our family hopes that the zakat submitted today can benefit the people in need, especially in Lampung Province. Zakat Mal is a must, every year, I and my family hand over zakat mall. Please not be seen in value but seen from the sense of kinship of the Asih side and his foster," he said.

Furthermore, Andi Surya also stressed that fulfilling zakat is a form of Muslim compliance with the commands of Allah SWT. In addition, zakat also functions to clean up the property, so that it becomes a blessing for the giver and recipient.

Facing social and economic challenges in the community, Andi Surya hopes that the zakat program will continue to be implemented and can mobilize the potential for zakat more broadly. Thus, various community welfare programs in Lampung Province can continue to develop and their benefits are felt by the community.

"Hopefully this activity can continue and more and more can feel the benefits," he added.

With the distribution of zakat, it is hoped that more people can be helped in meeting the needs of life, especially for those who are in the poverty line. Dr. H. Andi Surya and his family continue to strive to carry out the mandate of zakat to the maximum for mutual prosperity.

On another occasion, one of the recipients of zakat mall, Safrudin was very happy for the blessings he received through Zakat Mal Dr. H. Andi Surya and his family.
